Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. Yesterday, we missed due to Luis Arraez going 0-5. Painful. But we push on! Here's our two favorite hitters of the day!
TUESDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: STEVEN KWAN (CLE) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Steven Kwan. Kwan has had a hit in six straight games since his return from injury. The total is set at 9.5 in Cincinnati, so plenty of hits and runs are expected.
Batting leadoff, I love trusting a hitter like Kwan who is great at putting the ball in play. He’s batting a ridiculous .370 on the season. I trust Kwan to get at least one hit today. Very surprised we can get this individual leg below -300, but I won’t complain.
LEG 2: BRYAN REYNOLDS (PIT) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Bryan Reynolds. Reynolds is on an eight game hit streak, so we will keep rolling with the hot hand. He also has a terrific matchup against Miles Mikolas.
Mikolas is having one of the worst years of his career, and in past matchups, Reynolds has owned him. Reynolds is a career 12 for 33 off Mikolas. I’m confident he improves that average today.
