The Texas Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers continue their three-game series from American Family Field in Milwaukee tonight. The Brewers took game one yesterday by a score of 6–3 as the Ranger's offense was held mostly quiet. I expect this game to play out a little differently tonight with some bats waking up for the Rangers. The player I’m looking at specifically is Corey Seger.

Corey Seger will match up against Bryse Wilson of the Brewers tonight. Bryse Wilson has been getting hit pretty hard this season, as he has allowed 12 home runs in 68 innings. Bryce Wilson has really struggled has been against left-handed hitters. Left-handed batters are hitting .289 off Bryse Wilson with a .917 OPS this season, while right-handed batters are hitting just .201 with a .585 OPS off Wilson. Of his 12 home runs allowed, seven have come to left-handed batters despite having 30 fewer at-bats against lefties. That is where Cory Seager comes in.
Cory Seager is a very powerful lefty bat who leads his team in both average exit velocity and hard-hit percentage. Seager is in the 94th percentile among hitters in barrel percentage and is in the 89th percentile of hard-hit rate. He’s an extremely powerful hitter that does not have trouble hitting home runs usually. He has hit 33 home runs each season he has been with the Rangers in 2022 and 2023. This year, he has 14 home runs in 68 games so far, averaging a home run about every five games.
Well, Corey Seager has not hit a homer in ten games now, making him way overdue for a long ball tonight. The weather conditions will also be with Seager, as American Family Field is usually known for its hitter-friendly conditions, along with it being a warm night in Milwaukee with high humidity and low air pressure. American Family Field has the second-highest home run boost of any game tonight and will be a great place for Seager to hit one out for us tonight. At +275, his price is pretty low, but I am fairly confident he will hit it tonight for us at nearly 3-to-1-odds.
