The St. Louis Cardinals (41-39) are set to host the Cincinnati Reds (38-44) in the second game of this four game series and they already tallied one on their side of the ledger last night in a commanding 11-4 win. Tonight, St. Louis will look to even up the series and separate themselves a bit more from the chasing pack in the division while the Reds look to mind the gap.

They are 10-5 across the last two weeks and have been one of the best teams in the National League since early may, they are winning ball games right now and the reds are not a team they generally lose to. They have taken five of the last seven head-to-head and Andrew Pallante has had some solid success against the Reds in his career.
