Schanuel is the leadoff hitter for the Angels who has been absolutely crushing it against right-handed pitching this season. Schanuel is a left-handed batter who is hitting .255 against right-handed pitching this season and just .169 against left-handed pitching.
He is up against Jon Gray tonight, who has really struggled against left-handed batters. John Gray has allowed a .301 batting average and .866 OPS against left-handed batters this season. lefties have dominated him, but he has given up just a .235 batting average with a .560 OPS against right-handed batters. These two have a very small history against each other, but Schaunel has one hit which was a double against Jon Gray in three at-bats in his lone appearance against him before.
