Cleveland Guardians vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction

My hometown Tigers are on a nice little win streak of four games but I expect that to come to an end here today. Kenta Maeda is on the mound for Detroit and that is all I needed to see.

Detroit has lost the last seven starts where Kenta Maeda is the starting pitcher. Additionally, Cleveland is the better team and Detroit snuck out a win yesterday which makes me feel more likely that Cleveland evens up the series here. Ben Lively has an impressive 3.14 ERA as well and Comerica Park is very pitcher friendly.

Yesterday, we saw Jose Ramirez and Steven Kwan go hitless, so that shouldn’t be the case again and I expect the rest offense to show up a bit more. Detroit's bullpen has had a fall from grace as well so even if Maeda exceed expectations we could see one of those guys come in and start serving meatballs. This feels like it should be closer to -180 so -140 has value in my eyes. Let's roll!
