Best MLB Home Run Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Wednesday
It was a home run bonanza last night, but we didn't hit any home runs. That was a bummer, but we're back for more.
Let's hit a home run prop tonight. Here are three of my favorite bets for tonight's slate.

The Red Sox will take on lefty thrower J.P. Sears tonight. Ultimately, he's been terrible against righties throughout the season but even worse over the last 30 days.
Sears has allowed a .278 ISO and wOBA of 474 to his last 92 righties. He's also allowed 33.8% of fly balls and has earned only 12% of strikeouts against righties in that time.
On the other hand, Connor Wong has slugged a .300 ISO and wOBA of .375 with only 13.6% of strikeouts. Wong has hit 29.4% of fly balls and has smacked a 58.8% hard contact rate with only 41.2% of ground balls against lefties over the last month.

Let's give the rookie a shot.
Since being called up, James Wood has already hit a .333 ISO and wOBA of .438 against righties. Wood has also hit 85.7% of hard contact against righties and used a 14.3% barrel percentage against righties.
He'll take on Luis Severino of the Mets, who has allowed a .297 ISO and wOBA of .388 to his last 68 lefties. Those 68 lefties have also struck out only 14.7% of the time and have hit 37% of fly balls.
Wood has been hitting many ground balls recently, but against Severino, it's more likely he'll launch some fly balls. Let's take Wood to go deep.

Over the last 30 days, Austin Riley has been hit against righties. Riley, a righty himself, has hit a .339 ISO and wOBA of .458 against his last 67 righties.
He's also hit 39.1% of fly balls with 34.8% of line drives. In addition, he's smacked 69.6% of hard contact and has used a 26.1% barrel percentage against righties.
These are all tremendous numbers for the Atlanta third baseman.
Meanwhile, he'll take on Slade Cecconi of the Diamondbacks. Cecconi is a righty who has allowed a .250 ISO and wOBA of .383 to 124 righties this season. Cecconi has a low strikeout rate of 22.6% against righties and has allowed 32.6% of fly balls to righties.
Most recently, over the last 30 days, he's allowed more than 30% of line drives to righties.
