Back to the diamond for a lovely little Wednesday slate today. Tonight, I want to dive into a two leg parlay and we are staying in the division for this one as I think two squads form the American League East have the edge in their contests tonight.

Chicago Cubs vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction
Well the O's dropped game one at home last night and they got rolled - something that does not happen to them too often at home. Baltimore has dropped three of their last five but have dominated at home all season and with two series left before the all star break and both the Yankees and Red Sox nipping at their heels, I think the O's get that one back here tonight. Corbin Burnes is a tier one Cy Young Award contender and the veteran ace can really dish the rock, especially at home. Shota Imanaga has the ball for the Cubbies and while he still is a solid piece of that rotation, his early season form has fallen off a bit and the O's should be poised to even up the series tonight.
Oakland Athletics vs. Boston Red Sox Prediction
Boston is just on fire right now. They have won 20 of their last 29 games and have soared into the divisional conversation in the hyper competitive American League East. The thing is, three teams from the same division are not making the playoffs so if Boston wants to capitalize on this landslide from the Yankees, they have to keep pushing. They are now two games back in the division and with a strong finish to the week, they could have second place in the division by the all star break. JP Sears is 1-4 with a 4.82 ERA on the road and Boston can crush southpaws. I expect this lineup to slug their way to victory like they did last night and Nick Pivetta to do enough to keep the A's relatively quiet.
