Will we see this team bounce back after an 8-3 loss in the first game of their series against the Mariners, or will Seattle stay hot with their young flamethrower on the mound?

SEATTLE MARINERS VS. SAN DIEGO PADRES PREDICTION
Bryce Miller has been solid this season for the Mariners, but he tends to struggle away from Seattle. His ERA skyrockets to 6.28 when he pitches on the road this season. I’m willing to bet he struggles once again on the road against a veteran-heavy lineup looking to avenge three consecutive losses. Once Miller leaves T-Mobile Park, his struggles ensue.
Michael King has been fabulous for the Padres of late, lowering his ERA down to 3.51 on the season. He just shoved against two solid offenses in Texas and Boston, and will be looking to put up his third consecutive quality start on Wednesday night. When the Padres need him most, I’m expecting the former New York Yankees prospect to deliver.
After losing the first game of the series last night, the Padres are catching some steam on their moneyline for game two. I was surprised to see them up to (-145) on some books… some serious respect for a team that’s coming off three straight losses. The Mariners have also beaten the Padres the last three times they’ve played, going back to earlier this season. Tonight, it’s the Padres turn to flip the script and break out of their mini-slump.
Fade the Mariners, who are much better at home in Seattle but are coming off a solid performance last night. We want to sell-high on them on the road, and buy-low on the Padres who are playing solid baseball heading into the All Star Break. I’ll meet you at the cash counter after King out-duels Miller in tonight’s matchup.
