Welcome to the daily parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. Today, we have another two-leg hit parlay. Yesterday, Francisco Lindor nuked us. He was one of only two Mets to not get a hit. That's been our luck the last week on these parlays. Time to turn that luck around.
THURSDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: STEVEN KWAN (CLE) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Steven Kwan. All season long, Kwan has been an ally for our hit parlays. We once again roll with him today in his matchup against Jack Flaherty and the Tigers.
Kwan has a hit in seven of his last eight games including two of three games in this series so far. Kwan is hitting .341 against righties this year and once again gets a righty today. While Flaherty is tough on lefties, he showed vulnerability allowing seven hits in his last outing. We look for a great contact hitter like Kwan to exploit that today. Batting leadoff and on the road Kwan will get several opportunities to get a hit for us today.
LEG 2: SHOHEI OHTANI (LAD) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of this hit parlay is: Shohei Ohtani. I love Ohtani in Citzens Bank Park against the Phillies. I wouldn’t be shocked if he hit a home run off Aaron Nola.
Ohtani now has a hit in four straight games including both in this series. He’s batting .325 against RHP which he will see Aaron Nola (a righty) today. These two have never faced each other, but I don’t see Aaron Nola backing down from this matchup. He should throw plenty of strikes for Ohtani to hit. I’m confident Ohtani gets at least one hit today, if not more. The total is set to 9.5 in this game, so plenty of runs are expected. Let’s go, Shohei!
