Here are three of my favorite strikeout props for today's MLB slate.

It hasn't been the most sensational year for Kevin Gausman. He's allowed a lot of power and hasn't earned many ground balls.
But at least he's consistently getting strikeouts.
Gausman has earned 23.8% of strikeouts this season and has added 24.2% of strikeouts over the last 30 days. He's hit an above-average rate against both sides of the plate over the last 30 days.
That's ideal, with Gausman expected to face a balanced San Francisco Giants lineup with 25.9% of strikeouts over the last 30 days against righties. San Francisco has six batters with a strikeout rate of at least 23.5% and eight batters with a strikeout rate of at least 21.4% over the last month against righties.
Let's back Gausman to rack up the strikeouts today.

The Orioles have struggled connecting against lefties over the last 30 days. Baltimore's lineup still has a .220 ISO and wOBA of .332 against lefties in the last month. However, the projected lineup has also struck out 24% of the time and has only walked 6% of the time over the last 30 days against lefties.
Meanwhile, Justin Steele has been terrific for the Cubs. He's allowed a .071 ISO and wOBA of .205 with 49.5% of ground balls and only 17.2% of line drives over the last month. But more importantly, he's added 25.6% of strikeouts in the last 30 days, which is a slight increase from his seasonal average.
With five Baltimore targets striking out at least 26.5% of the time against lefties over the last month, let's rock with Steele to earn at least six strikeouts.

Brayan Bello added 11 strikeouts, and Nick Pivetta earned ten strikeouts in their recent starts against the Athletics.
I'd be surprised if Houck didn't earn a high rate of strikeouts, too.
Houck has only struck out 14.5% of righties over the last month. That's not good. However, he's facing an Athletics lineup that has struck out 28.5% of the time over the previous 30 days against righties.
In Oakland's lineup, six batters have struck out at least 23% of the time in the last 30 days against righties. Five of those six have struck out over 30% in that same time frame.
Ultimately, Houck has added 26.5% of strikeouts against righties this season. His 30-day rate should increase after a matchup with Oakland. Take his Over.
