McMahon is hitting the ball extremely hard for a guy who has only hit 14 home runs this season. He has a team-leading average exit velocity of 93.8 mph and also a team-leading hard-hit percentage of 54.3% among the qualified hitters on the Rockies. McMahon has not hit a homer in 21 games, but that could change tonight. Ryan McMahon is up against Kyle Harrison of the Giants tonight, a left-handed pitcher. Usually, you would think this is a bad thing for McMahon, but he has hit better lefty on Lefty this year. McMahon is hitting .291 with a .836 OPS against left-handed pitching And just .263 with a .778 OPS against right-handed pitching. He is averaging a homer in every 23.4 at-bats against lefties this year, while he is averaging a home run in one out of every 27 at-bats against righties.
