The Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox meet tonight to finish off a three-game weekend series from Dodgers stadium. The Dodgers are facing a sweep tonight as they took game one dominantly and rallied in extra innings in game two to win in the 11th.

Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
The Dodgers played .500 baseball heading into the All-Star break but have come out hot with these two wins to propel their record to 58–41, which is good to hold the lead in first place in the NL West.
On the other side, the Red Sox were red hot entering the All-Star break, going 20–8 over their last 28 games heading into the break. With these two losses, however, they now sit at 53–44, but are quickly rising in the AL East as they sit in third place.
The Red Sox are starting Kutter Crawford tonight. Crawford has been one of the most consistent pieces of the Red Sox rotation, as he is pitching with a 3.04 ERA this year and a 1.04 whip, which is 13th in baseball. Crawford was red hot entering the All-Star break, as he pitched 20 innings in July so far with just one earned run. His 0.45 ERA in July is the best in baseball this month.
On the other hand, James Paxton will be starting for the Dodgers. Paxton has been much more average, pitching with a 4.38 ERA and 1.45 whip. However, his run support has been very good with the Dodgers lineup, as he has a 7–2 pitching record. Paxton struggled heading into the All-Star break, giving up 14 earned runs in 12.2 innings across his three starts before the break.
However, I think Paxton will have a good start tonight against the Dodgers given their recent struggles against left-handed pitching. The Red Sox have the most egregious split against right and left-handed pitching over the last month, as they are number one in baseball with a .283 average against right-handed pitching over the last month, But they are 29th in baseball with a .208 average against left-handed pitching over the last month.
Given the Red Sox struggles against left-handed pitching recently and their slow start to the second half, I’d like the Dodgers to complete the sweep tonight in Los Angeles. The Red Sox have the better starter on paper tonight, which is why this line is playable on the Dodgers. I will happily take the Dodgers at this price under -120.
