Back to the diamond tonight, and for this one we are heading down to the Lone Star State. The Chicago White Sox (27-76) are at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas for the series finale with the Texas Rangers (49-52), and the defending world champions are going for the sweep.

Chicago gave it their all in the first two games of this series with Erick Fedde and Garrett Crochet on the mound, and they fell one run short in both games. There is no salvaging this season whatsoever, the boat has been going down by the bow and taking on water fast since the season began, but there still is a factor of pride in winning some games.
Losing with your best arms on the mound back-to-back nights by one run is demoralizing, and I expect them to not show up tonight. At this point, anyone with value is likely looking to get dealt by the trade deadline so I expect minimal effort going forward, especially after losses like that.
Nathan Eovaldi has the ball for the Rangers tonight who is having a fine season with a 6-4 record to go along with a 3.36 ERA. The veteran righty is coming off a rough start last week against the Orioles in which he gave up six runs in just five innings pitched. With that said, he only threw 76 pitches so he should be rather well-rested and ready to shove tonight.
On the flip side, Chris Flexen has the ball for the Pale Hose, and he has been absolutely awful this season. The righty is 2-9 with a 5.22 ERA and the Sox are 2-19 when he starts. Fade Chicago.
