It is time for some Monday night baseball, and we have a loaded slate here to kick off the week. To start our week, I want to dive into a 2011 World Series rematch as the Texas Rangers (51-55) visit the St. Louis Cardinals (54-51) for an interleague clash at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri.

This might be Andre Pallante's last start in this rotation for a while, so I would expect he goes out and tries to shove - it could determine whether he stays in the rotation and the show or if he is heading back down to Memphis for some time with the RedBirds. The Cardinals acquired Erick Fedde from the Chicago White Sox today in a three-way trade with the Dodgers that brought Fedde and Tommy Pham to St. Louis and sent Tommy Edman to the Dodgers.
Loss of fan favorite Tommy Edman is sad for the Cardinals fans, but the acquisition of another solid arm for the rotation was absolutely vital for a push down the stretch this season. Fedde is having a career year with a 3.11 ERA and 1.14 WHIP so far this season; that ERA is a 1.87 at home.
With that said, both teams are desperate to get something going here, and I would lean Texas with Nathan Eovaldi on the mound, but lately it feels like the Cardinals are winning the ones they shouldn't and losing the ones they should win. St. Louis dropped two of three to Washington over the weekend after just taking a series from Atlanta. Eovaldi has been throwing the ball well as of late but struggles against St. Louis - in 48 at-bats, he has allowed 18 hits for a .333/.347/.495 slash line against. St. Louis will face Max Scherzer tomorrow, so winning tonight would be massive.
