The Atlanta Braves will give Bryce Elder the start. The right-hander has struggled badly against lefties this season. However, he's still earned 26.2% of strikeouts against righties this season.
Elder's dominance of righties will be key for tonight's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. After all, the Brewers figure to start more righties than lefties in tonight's game. In addition, Milwaukee's righties have struck out at a higher rate than the lefties.
Ultimately, the Brewers have five batters with a high strikeout rate of at least 23.3% against righties over the last month. With five real targets, we'll back Elder to add at least five strikeouts in tonight's game.

Kansas City's lineup has struck out only 16.5% of the time against righties over the last month. The Royals' lineup has just two batters with strikeout rates higher than 21.2%.
However, Salvador Perez is one of them and he's hitting a .234 ISO and wOBA of .309 against righties over the last month.

The Athletics will use JP Sears tonight. He's a left-handed pitcher whose strikeout rate has increased over the last month.
Sears has only struck out 17.1% of batters this season. However, over the last 30 days, he's added 21.9% of strikeouts. That's pretty convincing. It's not the highest number, but he's facing a Giants' projected lineup that has struck out 33.2% of the time against lefties over the last month.
All but one batter in the lineup is a target for Sears. Since Sears needs just five strikeouts, we'll roll with him to add five or more strikeouts tonight.
