We have another nice-looking MLB slate today, and I have put together another parlay that I am really liking for it. It is going to be another hit parlay consisting of two players that I think can deliver for us in their respective matchups. Those two hitters are Nico Hoerner of the Chicago Cubs and Masataka Yoshida of the Boston Red Sox. Let's cash another hit parlay!
July 31st MLB Prop Picks
Nico Hoerner is likely to hit leadoff again and is playing on the road which means that his chances for five or more plate appearances are high especially given the high total that linemakers have set for this game. Hoerner now has a hit in 18 of his last 22 games and his matchup vs. Nick Lodolo may seem tough, but Hoerner has hit him well throughout his career. He went 2-for-3 off him earlier this season, and is lifetime 3-for-8 against him. Nico also hits lefties well and owns a .293 expected batting average against them this season. I am expecting him to deliver in his matchup today and help us cash this parlay.
Masataka Yoshida is the last leg of this parlay and he is someone who enters today's game on fire. He has now recorded a hit in seven straight games with two or more hits in four of the last five games. He is hitting .394 post All-Star break, and hits the ball extremely well vs. righties, especially at home where he is hitting .363 (vs. righties). I like his matchup today vs. George Kirby and the Mariners. Kirby has been great this season, but has struggled much more on the road. Against lefties on the road, Kirby has allowed a .284 batting average and .559 slugging % which is great news for Yoshida. Kirby does not walk many batters and throws a lot of strikes, while Yoshida is not one who strikes out a ton. I expect him to have some quality at-bats and get us a base hit here to cash us this parlay.
