We have a loaded 15-game MLB slate today and I have put together a nice 2-leg parlay for it that I am really liking. Coming off another cash on our last article play, let's keep the momentum going here! Today's parlay is going to be another hit parlay, and it will consist of Trea Turner for the Philadelphia Phillies and Xavier Edwards of the Miami Marlins. We just need one hit each, and I think both of these guys will deliver for us.
August 6th MLB Prop Picks
Xavier Edwards has really taken advantage of his opportunity since the Marlins traded Jazz Chisholm and Luis Arraez and has shown flashes of stardom. He now has a hit in 11 of the last 12 games with 2+ hits in three of the last four games. Edwards will match up against Reds lefty Nick Lodolo, and Edwards has had some success against lefties this season with a .435 batting average. Lodolo has allowed 22 hits over his last three starts, and I think he gives up another one to Xavier Edwards today.
Trea Turner will round out the parlay for today, and when I saw his odds, I was a little bit surprised. Clayton Kershaw takes the mound today for the Dodgers, and this is a matchup that Turner has dominated throughout his career. Against Kershaw, Trea is 10 for his last 20 for a .500 batting average. Although Trea has been in a mini slump for his standards, yesterday he had three batted balls that were all line drives hit over 94 MPH. Unfortunately for him, they all resulted in outs, but that is something I like to see and I expect them to start dropping in for base hits eventually. Since joining the Phillies, Turner has a hit in nine of 10 games vs. the Dodgers, with 2+ hits in five of the last seven games. I think he delivers for us in this spot and helps us cash yet another hit parlay.
