Over the last month, Trevor Rogers has only struck out 13.9% of batters. He's never been a high-strikeout candidate this season. But over the last month, he's been even worse at registering strikeouts.
Rogers is a lefty who has allowed a .205 ISO and wOBA of .335 to his last 87 righties. Now he'll take on a Nationals lineup that is already familiar with Rogers from his time with Miami. Those Nationals bats have struck out just 16.1% of the time collectively over the last 30 days against lefties.
Only Alex Call and James Wood have struck out at a high rate against lefties. The rest of the lineup is in the clear. Therefore, I'll take my chances with Rogers to go Under 3.5 Ks in tonight's game against Washington.

The Tigers will send out Tarik Skubal for tonight's game against the Mariners. He's a lefty pitcher who has struck out 27.4% of batters over the last month.
Tonight, he'll take on a Mariners lineup full of only right-handed batters. Those righties have struck out 25.4% of the time over the last 30 days against lefties. In addition, there are six batters in the Detroit lineup with strikeout rates that are above 24% against lefties in the last 30 days.
Skubal should also pitch pretty deep in this game. After all, the Mariners' projected lineup has seven batters with a wOBA of .299 or lower against lefties over the last month.
If Skubal throws six innings, there's a good chance he'll have eight strikeouts.

Paul Blackburn will take on his old team, the Oakland Athletics, tonight. Blackburn is a righty pitcher who has earned just 12.8% of strikeouts against righties over the last month.
Unfortunately for him, Blackburn will likely face more righties than lefties in the Oakland lineup. In addition, this projected Oakland lineup has struck out only 17.3% of the time against righties over the last month.
It's hard to imagine Blackburn, who has struck out 19.3% of batters this season, adds six or more strikeouts against a fairly hot Athletics offense. Take the Under.
