Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction: Will Bryce Harper, Phillies Unload on Marlins?

Back to the diamond tonight for some more action around the league, and I want to head to the city of brotherly love for this one as the Philadelphia Phillies (69-49) host the Miami Marlins (44-75) for their third clash this season. They split their last series in late June at two apiece in Philly, but Miami has won three of the last five head-to-head in the series and is coming off a controversial win Sunday over the Padres.

Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction

The Phillies were awful in their home stand after the All-Star Break and need to rebound here after dropping three of four to Arizona over the weekend. It's safe to say Arizona still has their number. Taijuan Walker has the ball for Philly, and although he has not pitched since late June due to a finger issue, I think this a spot where the Philly bats do most of the work.

The Phillies scored just eight runs over the weekend, but they are significantly better at home than they are on the road. They rank sixth in the league for run differential this season at +12 on the road and +78 at home. Marlins' rookie Valente Bellozo has not seen a lineup of this caliber before, and should struggle tonight at Citizens Bank Park.
