Our first leg of the Parlay: William Contreras to Record A Hit. All we need to cash this leg is for Contreras to record a hit in his game at home against the Cardinals.
William Contreras is coming off a couple hitless games in Cincinnati. Topping things off, he just went 0-5 in Sunday’s game with one of the outs having a near .800 xBA. We love to back elite hitters like Contreras to not go hitless three straight games. Contreras faces off against Andre Pallante and the Cardinals today. Against Pallante, Contreras is 3-5 hitting .600. In August, Contreras hit .273 at home and hit .309 against righties. This is a great matchup for Contreras and we’re backing him to cash the first leg of this parlay.
LEG 2: Mookie Betts (LAD) To Record A Hit
Our first leg of the Parlay: Mookie Betts to Record A Hit. Betts will be back in Arizona to face the Diamondbacks for the final game of this four game series. Today, he gets a great matchup against Eduardo Rodriguez.
Mookie is 1-for-4 (.250) lifetime vs. E-Rod. Mookie is batting .327 vs. Lefties this season. E-Rod is allowing a .300 BA to Right Handed Batters this year too (fun fact: Lefties are 0-14 vs. E-Rod this year...let's see what Shohei & Freddie do). I love the splits vs. the main pitches E-Rod will throw his way. Batting 2nd, we should get plenty of chances for Mookie to deliver.
