WEDNESDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: Shota Imanaga (CHC) OVER 17.5 Outs
Our first leg of the Parlay: Shota Imanaga OVER 17.5 outs. For this leg to cash, we need a solid 6 innings pitched for Shota. What happens after the 6th inning is not our concern for this bet.
Shota gets a great matchup against a Pirates team that is striking out against lefties at a 36% rate over the last 2 weeks. That strikeout percentage is worst in the majors and Shota is the type of pitcher to capitalize on that. Imanaga is over this line in back-to-back starts and pitching in Wrigley will be good for him today, At Wrigley, Shota has allowed 2 ER or less in 3 of his last 4 home starts. He’s efficient at home and will be able to give the Cubs the 6th inning length they’re looking for from their ace today.
LEG 2: Guardians & Royals Both 2+ Runs Full Game
Our second leg of the Parlay: Guardians and Royals Both 2+ Runs in the FULL Game. We have 9 Innings to get 2 Runs each. Some books offer this market as 'Both X+ Runs', while other books will just require you to Same Game Parlay both Teams OVER 1.5 Runs.
Ben Lively starts for the Guardians today. While I don't love the Royals Offensive Outlook right now, Lively will help them out. Lively is coming off a 6 ER disasterclass vs. the Pirates. He's now allowed 2 Earned Runs (or more) in 13 of his last 14 starts, which included a start vs. the Royals.
Seth Lugo pitches for the Royals. He's been great this season but the innings are starting to get to him. He had a 4.91 ERA in August. His ERA at home is slightly higher and he struggles vs. Lefties, which the Guardians have plenty of. Behind Lugo is a Royals bullpen that owns a 6.33 ERA over the L14 Days (2nd worst in the majors). I like plenty of runs in this game!
Good luck everyone! Let's get back into the winning column today!
