WEDNESDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: Dodgers & Marlins Both Teams to Score 1+ Runs in the First 5 Innings
Our first leg of the Parlay: Both Teams to Score 1+ Runs in the First 5 Innings of the Dodgers and Marlins game. For this leg of the parlay to cash, we need each team to have one run on the board by the end of the 5th inning.
Yesterday, we had this same leg in our parlay and it was sweat-free. Expecting more of the same here tonight. Landon Knack starts for the Dodgers. Knack has allowed 1+ ER in 11 of his 12 starts. He rarely goes past 5 Innings. The Marlins lead the MLB in Batting Average vs. RHP in September. Ryan Weathers returns from the IL. He hasn't pitched since June 7th. He owns a 5.52 ERA at home. The Dodgers have the 3rd highest wRC+ vs. Lefties in September. Weathers will give up at least 1, if not more.
LEG 2: TARIK SKUBAL (DET) OVER 17.5 OUTS
Our second leg of the Parlay: Tarik Skubal OVER 17.5 outs. For this leg of the parlay to cash, we need Skubal to go 6+ Innings tonight.
The hit rate is there for Skubal who on the season is over this line in 24 of 29 starts. Against the Royals, Skubal is over in 2 of 3 starts. His most recent start against the Royals wasn’t great when allowed 5 earned runs on 7 hits. The great angle to take from that start is that he still managed to go 6.1 innings. So in the worst-case scenario, Skubal still prevailed. The Tigers are fighting for playoff positioning and I don’t see a reason why they wouldn’t allow Skubal to go at least 6 innings and set their bullpen up for 3 innings or less of work.
