2025 MLB Power Rankings After Five Weeks
1. Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers don't have the best bench depth, and their pitching has been hot and cold this year. However, they're still the most talented roster in the MLB. At 19-10, the Dodgers are also tied with the San Francisco Giants for the NL West lead.
Ultimately, the Dodgers have gone 13-3 at home. As long as the Dodgers continue to dominate at home, they'll be the top team in the MLB.
2. New York Mets
The Mets just went 2-2 against the Nationals. That was disheartening. However, they've done 12-1 at home and 6-3 against teams above .500. Yes, the Mets' schedule has been easy to begin the year. But they've taken advantage of it and were the first team to get to 20 wins this season.
3. San Francisco Giants
The Giants have been one of the best surprises this season. They're already 15-7 against teams above .500. They also lead the NL West in run differential at +28 and are 10-6 on the road. Immaculate stuff.
4. Chicago Cubs
The Cubs are the other major surprise this season. Chicago just keeps facing teams above .500 and is still 17-12 on the year. Finally, they have a bit of a break when they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in the next series. That should help Chicago's record.

5. San Diego Padres
6. Detroit Tigers
After going 7-3 in their last 10 games, the Detroit Tigers are the American League's best team. With a run differential of +39, the Tigers are proving that last year's second half was no fluke.
7. New York Yankees
8. Arizona Diamondbacks
9. Philadelphia Phillies
10. Boston Red Sox
11. Seattle Mariners

12. Houston Astros
13. Atlanta Braves
The Braves are back to 13-15 and have won eight of their last ten games. It was a miserable start to the season, but the Braves will be in playoff contention when all is said and done.
14. Cleveland Guardians
15. Texas Rangers
16. Toronto Blue Jays
17. Athletics
Let's not act like the Athletics are not worthy. This team is one game above .500 and has gone 9-5 on the road this year.

18. Kansas City Royals
19. Cincinnati Reds
