This is a number that looks intimidating but I find it to be good value here given the matchup. Markkanen has 24+ points in the last five games he has seen 30+ minutes and this game projects to be high-scoring and close. Markkanen has been an all-star talent this season and couldn’t get an easier matchup against a Kings team who allows the most points to small forwards. With Vanderbilt and Kessler starting we have seen Lauri start at the 3.

Sacramento plays with the fourth-highest pace in the NBA so this is a rare paced-up game for Utah who also ranks in the top 10. This game has a total of 241.5 and both teams are projected nearly around 120 points. Lauri needs 24 which would be 20% of 120. Markkanen can surely do that as he’s this team's No. 1 option and someone who has hit this prop in four of his last five games.
When Lauri is hot he is hot. He has a 30+ point upside tonight for sure. He has had 29, 32, and 38 points in three of the last four games. This is on paper the easiest matchup so asking for just 24 feels like a pretty good single bet and we’re paying very minimal juice.
