The Philadelphia 76ers vs. the Portland Trail Blazers will meet up from Portland, Oregon on Thursday night. Philadelphia has been red hot as of late, and they will look to continue their stellar play against a Portland team that has struggled as of late.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
The 76ers enter play to the tune of a 28-16 record, which is good for third best in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers have won three games in a row, all of which have come on the road. Their most recent win was an impressive one over a very talented Los Angeles Clippers team.
Philly has been led by superstar big man Joel Embiid. Embiid should have won an MVP award a season ago, but he is making another case for one this year. Joel ranks second in the NBA in scoring, averaging 33.6 points per game. He won a scoring title a season ago and has his eyes on another one this year. James Harden has been very impressive for Philly this year, leading the league in assists averaging 11.1 per game. Harden is also scoring 21.7 points per game.
Lastly, Tyrese Maxey has moved into a sixth-man role since returning from injury and has been outstanding off the bench for the 76ers, averaging north of 20 points per game.
Portland, meanwhile, started the year as one of the best teams in the West, but they have regressed in the last six weeks or so. Portland comes into this game with a record of 21-23. They have struggled in the month of January, going just 3-6 so far. Damian Lillard has not been the one to blame for the team's recent struggles, as he is averaging 29.3 points per game this year to lead the team. Anfernee Simons has taken a huge leap with his play this year, averaging 21.7 points per game. Former 76er Jerami Grant has also been solid for the Blazers this season, scoring 21.6 per game. Portland comes into this one as a two-point home underdog.

I trust the home team and the line here. This feels like a great spot for the Blazers, who have struggled as of late, and this feels like a great regression spot for the 76ers. Philly is in a tough spot here as they play their fourth straight road game. These games start to add up, and eventually, fatigue becomes a factor. I expect to see some of that in this game tonight.
Lastly, Portland has been a much better team in their own building this season, and I expect to see them locked in for this game and take care of business on their home floor. I will back the dog in this spot tonight!
