I’ve been eyeing Alperen Sengun's first-quarter rebounds since last night, but it’s too much juice for a 1Q prop, so I paired it up with the Pacers moneyline. The Pacers have much more to play for than Houston and are 10-point favorites for a reason. The Rockets have strangely won a few games recently but should go back to their tanking ways sooner than later.
Indiana Pacers vs. Houston Rockets Prediction
Sengun, in the first quarter, has 3+ rebounds in eight of his last nine games. He is averaging 4.1 rebounds per first quarter in that span and is averaging 9.8 minutes of the possible 12. He faces an Indiana team who allows the sixth most rebounds to Centers, and Sengun has already shown to be effective in this matchup.
In his first matchup against Indiana, he got three rebounds in less than four minutes to start the game. Now that he has a bigger role for the team, I expect him to play 9-10 minutes here and crash the glass on both the offensive and defensive end. The hit rate here has been incredible, and the matchup is great. This game has blowout potential, so I like 1Q rebounds more than his complete game, and I like Indiana to do their job and win outright. Let's roll!
