The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road tonight versus the reigning champions, the Denver Nuggets. I believe with a new and improved roster, the Los Angeles Lakers will be playing at a whole different level than they were last season. Luckily for the Lakers, the Nuggets lost Bruce Brown Jr., and the Lakers gained a whole lot of good players. I believe the Lakers will give the reigning champions a run for their money tonight in their season opener.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets Prediction
The Los Angeles Lakers have a new and improved roster this season, they have an NBA level starting five coming off of their bench. This team is good from their starting 5, to their 7 deep off of the bench, this is an absolutely stacked roster. Denver is technically still the better team, as they have the best player in the world in Nikola Jokic. However, they have some changes in their rotation this season that raises some flags for concern in their ability to get off to a hot start this season.
I'm predicting this will be a close game, and I could definitely see the Lakers pulling away at the end, so I don't hate the +180 moneyline for them as well. I think it is important that if the Lakers want a chance to win the championship this season, they will need to jump on the competitive Western Conference early to start this season. I see a lot of growth out of Austin Reaves this summer, the addition of Vincent, Wood, and re-signings of Russell and Hachimura are huge for this team, especially with the caliber that LeBron is still able to play at. With a healthy Anthony Davis with them as well, this team is absolutely loaded and fresh to start the season. Denver is technically still the better team long term than the Lakers, but, I have to take the points with a loaded Los Angeles Lakers roster.
