After being sent to the New York Knicks in a trade last season, Josh Hart averaged 7.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 25 games with his new team. He played the Boston Celtics twice, recording 10 rebounds + assists in both games.
I’m really liking the value on his over 7.5 rebounds and assists with Obi Toppin now with the Indiana Pacers. His departure means that Hart will get the small-ball minutes at the 4 position.
The Boston Celtics don’t have the most imposing rebounding lineup with Jayson Tatum at the four and Kristaps Porzingis playing the five down low. Josh Hart is an aggressive rebounder for his size, and should be able to clean up on the glass tonight. Tom Thibodeau has been quoted numerous times this offseason saying he wants the Knicks to play faster this season. Josh Hart running the break off of rebounds will play a major part in accomplishing that, and will open up more assist opportunities.
