Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks Prediction
Philadelphia reached the second round of the playoffs a season ago but got blown out in Game 7 against the Boston Celtics.
Reaching the second round and losing has been a common theme for Philadelphia, who has yet to reach the conference finals in the Joel Embiid era.
The loss called for some change as the team let go of head coach Doc Rivers and hired former Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse.
The roster looks pretty similar to the one we saw a season ago, but the 76ers will be without one of their stars tonight in, James Harden.
It has been an ugly off-season for Harden and the 76ers, as it seemed like Harden was going to be traded for most of the summer.
Harden publicly called 76ers GM Daryl Morey a “liar.”
Harden is expected to be back next week but will miss the first couple of games for the 76ers.
The most notable offseason transactions for Philly were the addition of Patrick Beverly and Kelly Oubre Jr.
Milwaukee enters the year as the co-favorite to come out of the Eastern Conference.
One of the main reasons for that is the addition of future hall-of-fame guard Damian Lillard.
The duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Dame is arguably the best in basketball.
Giannis inked a three-year contract extension this week with the Bucks, as life is good for Bucks fans at the moment.
The biggest subtraction from the Bucks roster is all-star guard Jrue Holiday.
One notable addition is Malik Beasley, who averaged 12.7 points per game a season ago and will be a weapon off their bench.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks Pick
I expect the Bucks to roll in their home opener.
Philadelphia is a mess right now with everything going on with Harden and company.
Milwaukee is the better team, and in the absence of Harden, this game should not be competitive tonight.
I see a double-digit win for the Bucks tonight.
