De'Aaron Fox may have only scored 18 points in his first game of the season, but there was a lot to like about his usage. He took 18 field goal attempts which is on par with his usage last year, but he managed to make only six of his looks. I see positive regression in a get-right spot against Golden State.
Golden State just allowed Devin Booker, who was playing at point guard, to score 32 points. Although Booker and Fox have different game styles, it shows that Golden State could be prone to allowing points to primary ball handlers. With Draymond still listed as out, I see Fox with easier paths to the basket for foul calls or finishes at the rim.
Although this is a new look Warriors team with CP3, it’s still worth nothing that Fox hit this in two out of three games against the Warriors last year, with the one miss falling one bucket short.
