Betting on Ayton right now feels like a foolish thing to do. With that being said, I simply cannot contain myself and the price we are getting here.
We need 12 points. We don’t need him to turn into Hakeem or anything, just give us three made field goals per half. He has only hit this number once this year in four tries, but the matchup is one that has historically favored him.
Deandre Ayton loves bullying my Pistons. Last year, Ayton averaged 29.5 points per game against Detroit with outputs of 31 and 28 points. He will get the same matchup against Jalen Duren. Although Duren has made strides this year in improving his scoring ability and rebounding, he can still be shoved around by bigger bodies.
Ayton should eventually see a field goal attempt surge especially with Simons out for Portland. I’m hoping it’s this game that we can see “DominAyton” attempts 10+ field goals. If he does, then I’m confident he can find 12 points for us. Let's roll!
