Chicago Bulls vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction
Coby White is in his fifth season with the Bulls after being taken 7th overall by Chicago in 2019. White has finally moved into a full-time starting role with the Bulls, starting all 44 games so far this season. White, in turn, is averaging his highest PPG this season (18.6), but he also has career-high rebounds (4.5) and assists (4.9) this season as well. That is where we are going tonight.
Coby White has a line of 9.5 rebounds + assists tonight. He has played 19 games without Zach LaVine this season. In those 19 games, White has hit at least 10 rebounds + assists in 16 of them, good for a 84% hit rate. In his last 15, he has hit this line in 13. He is averaging 11.3 rebounds + assists in those games without LaVine, and he should play plenty of minutes tonight as the Bulls try to upset the Suns as underdogs.
White's usage has jumped like crazy without LaVine. He has a 24.4 usage rate, third behind DeRozan and Vucevic. He has a 21.9% assist rate as well, which is second behind DeRozan when Lavine doesn't play. For a point guard, White gets a decent amount of rebounds, too. With White playing heavy minutes (37 minutes per game in January), hitting 10 rebounds + assists should be easy for him, as he has done in 84% of his games without LaVine this season.
