The Philadelphia 76ers travel to Indiana tonight to take on the Pacers. The Sixers are on a roll right now, winning six games in a row, with their most recent win coming on Monday against the San Antonio Spurs. Joel Embiid dropped a career-high 70 points in that game. meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers are still adjusting to life without Tyrese Haliburton, as they have lost three in a row to the Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix Suns, and the Denver Nuggets. What should be expected from these teams tonight?

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Indiana Pacers Prediction
The player I am targeting tonight is the 76ers point guard, Tyrese Maxey. Maxey is second on the team with 25.8 points per game. Maxey also leads the team with 3.1 threes made per game on 8.2 attempts. However, tonight I am taking the under on his three-pointers.
For starters, the Pacers are very stingy defense against three-point attempts. While the Pacers are not a good defense overall, they are very good at limiting their opponent's three-point attempts. They allow the least three-point attempts per game in the NBA at 28.2 and the least amount of total three-point shots made per game at 10.6.
On the other side, the Sixers do not shoot a lot of threes, as they ranked 25th in the NBA in both three-point field goals made and attempted. The Pacers also allow the least three-point field goals in the NBA to point guards per game, only allowing 2.4 three-pointers to the position.
Additionally, Tyrese Maxey has been a much better shooter at home than on the road. Tyrese Maxey is averaging 3.3 made three-pointers on 8.3 attempts at home, shooting 40% from behind the arc, but he is just averaging 2.83 three-point field goals on the road on 8.1 attempts with a 34.9% three-point. Tonight, his line is 3.5 threes.
With a line of 3.5 threes, Maxey has only hit this number in five of 18 road games this season, hitting the over at just a 28% clip this season. Maxey has played the Pacers twice this season, and he had seven threes in one meeting and two threes in the other, but both were at home, and this is the first meeting of the season on the road for Maxey.
Given that he is facing a Pacers' defense that is very stingy on the perimeter, but gives up more points inside, expect Maxey to be driving in the paint instead of shooting from deep tonight. I am backing him to hit under four threes in this game.
