5 minPhiladelphia 76ers vs. Utah Jazz Prop Pick: Can Tobias Harris Step Up For Sixers Against Jazz?
The Philadelphia 76ers end their road trip tonight in Utah as they take on the Jazz. The 76ers enter this game sitting in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 29–17. The 76ers have now lost four games in a row, each game of their current road trip, as they deal with injuries to star players like Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. The Jazz, meanwhile, are sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference with a record of 24–25. The Jazz have lost back-to-back games, but get a chance to bounce back against a banged-up Philadelphia squad at home. What should we expect in this game with so much production missing from the 76ers?

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Utah Jazz Prediction
Leading scorer Joel Embiid is sidelined with a knee injury for the time being. Second-leading scorer Tyrese Maxey is also out with an ankle injury. With De'Anthony Melton and Nicolas Batum also landing on the injury report, it appears that Tobias Harris is the last healthy starter for the 76ers. Harris is the third-leading scorer on the team with 17.7 points per game, which makes him the highest score on the team when Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are not on the floor. He is also second on the team with six rebounds per game, but has the most rebounds per game when Embiid is not on the floor. I think you can see where I’m going with this. Tobias Harris' points + rebounds line is set at 29.5 on FanDuel right now, but it is getting as high as 30.5 and even 31.5 on some books. The line movement is due to the injury report for the 76ers, as I just stated the injuries are dealing with right now. Tobias Harris has played three games in January without Joel Embiid. In the first two, he scored 32 points against the Hawks and 37 points against the Kings. He also had 10 and 7 rebounds in those games, respectively. In the third, he only had nine points and four rebounds, but he only played 20 minutes in an absolute blowout in that game against the Trail Blazers. Another reason I like this over is the matchup. The Jazz are allowing the sixth-most points to small forwards. The Jazz are also a very fast-paced team, ranking fourth in the NBA in pace of play in January and ninth on the season overall. The Jazz have been a highly efficient team on offense recently, but have failed to consistently play good defense. They are a bottom 10 team by defensive rating, which, in combination with their high pace, allows for some very high-scoring games. The spread is also not that crazy considering the injuries for the 76ers, so Harris should get good minutes in this game as long as it stays within reach. Given the matchup against the Jazz, and the fact that Harris will probably have to be the leading scorer for this team tonight, I think hitting 30 points + rebounds is a very doable task for him.
