Orlando Magic vs. Detroit Pistons Prediction
This a guy we haven’t bet in awhile, but this feels like a good time to put faith into him again. Franz has been shooting at a high clip lately, attempting at least 16 shots in the last three games. In his lone game against Detroit this year, he took a team-high 20 field goal attempts. If he sees the same volume, I love our odds.
Franz scored 27 points in his one game against Detroit this season and easily soared over the 20 we need. This was by no mistake, Detroit allows plenty of points in the pain and Wagner scores the majority of his buckets on drives to the basket. Although he’s a capable shooter, he’s only hitting 3PA at a 30% clip this season, he is still averaging over 20 points a game despite struggling from range.
The main fear here is a blowout concern of course. It’s a risk I’m willing to take, since Detroit traded for Gallo and Muscala, they have been playing teams closer with more veteran presence. I hope that trend remains true, and they can make it to where Franz gets his typical 30+ minutes here. Wagner is back where he played his college ball today, let's hope he shows out in his return.
