The Memphis Grizzlies travel to Milwaukee tonight to take on the Bucks from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The Grizzlies have battled through an injury-riddled season and sit at 13th place in the Western Conference with a record of 25–50. They will not be going to the playoffs, but are still looking to develop some young young talent. On the other side, the Bucks will definitely be going to the playoffs, as they sit in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 47–28. The Bucks are on the back end of the back-to-back as they’re coming off an embarrassing loss to the Wizards last night. The Bucks will be looking to rebound and are massive 13-point favorites tonight against the Grizzlies. What should we expect in this game?

The player I am targeting in this game is Grizzlies shooting guard Luke Kennard. Kennard is in his seventh season in the NBA after being drafted in the first round of the 2017 draft by Detroit. Kennard is in his second season with the Grizzlies and has been a good role player who usually comes in off the bench. However, due to all the injuries the Grizzlies have dealt with this year, he has been starting a bit more and should be again tonight. This is important to note for our bet, as we are targeting his assist line tonight, which sits at 4.5.
When Luke Kennard comes off the bench, he is averaging just 22 minutes per game and 2.4 assists per game. However, when he’s in the starting rotation, he averages 28.5 minutes and 4.3 assists. In March, he averaged 5.1 assists on 27.5 minutes per game. with all the injuries to the Grizzlies right now, Kennard has been a good facilitator of this offense, as he ranks second on the team with 8.8 potential assists per game over the last 10 games, just behind Desmond Bane. With Bane injured tonight again, Kennard will be the potential assist leader on the floor for the Grizzlies tonight. While Scotty Pippen Jr. will get to start as the point guard, he's been playing lower minutes while coming back from an injury, and does not usually have the highest assist rate anyway. For this reason, I expect Luke Kennard to get heavy minutes tonight and to likely lead the Grizzlies in assists. Five should be easy for him.
