I’m shocked this play isn’t more popular today. I see a good amount of people on Embiid to score 30, but Philly are such overwhelming favorites it is very realistic that he could rest late and rot away on the bench. To avoid that, we are going to our favorite market.
Detroit Pistons vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
Embiid is still returning from injury, but he looks solid and absolutely dominates both Duren and Wiseman historically. In Embiid's last two games against Detroit, he scored 12 and 19 points in the opening quarter. Even if he plays just eight minutes like I believe he will, he still projects to score eight points here. Jalen Duren is prone to early fouls and Embiid is the hardest center to defend, this is a no-brainer.
Philly needs this win against a much-inferior Detroit team. I expect them to come out and take this game very serious and feed the ball to their best player. The Sixers need to stack some wins to avoid the Play-In Tournament, so I expect an early lead and for them not to look back. Let's go Embiid and let's roll!
