I think this is a great spot for Paul George to go over his 5.5 rebounds line in Game 6. Without Kawhi Leonard in the lineup, George has covered his line three of three times with 11, six, and six boards averaging 11.7 rebound chances.
He has 10+ rebound chances in four of five games in the series going for 11+ rebound chances in each of the last three games. When PG has had 11+ rebound chances this season he is over 5.5 rebounds in 21 of 29 games which is 72%.
While George is a great defender, he hasn’t been the primary defender on Luka Doncic or Kyrie Irving which has put him in great positions for rebounds guarding lower usage Derrick Jones Jr. and sometimes PJ Washington. While he may be guarding Kyrie or Luka at times, they’ll want him to be aggressive on offense and likely don’t want him being tired out guarding Luka or Kyrie all game. He’ll likely spend most of the game guarding Derrick Jones Jr. which we’ve seen the last few games.
In his postgame interview PG hinted at pushing the pace more to be successful in Game 6 which also could lead to more possessions and rebound chances. So with that I'm taking the Over on Paul George's rebounds at FanDuel.
