Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction: Can Kyrie Irving, Mavs Bounce Back in Game 2?

The Oklahoma City Thunder will take on the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night for Game 2 of this second round series. Can Kyrie Irving and the Mavs get back on track in OKC? Krabs provides his prediction and pick for Mavericks vs. Thunder.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction: Can Kyrie Irving, Mavs Bounce Back in Game 2?

Luka Doncic is the star of the Mavs, and Kyrie Irving knows that, but he hasn’t been playing like it. Irving has once again shined this postseason. People are quick to forget when he carried LeBron James and the Cavs to a Championship in Cleveland years ago. Will Irving lead the Mavs, who are down 0-1 in the series, to a crucial road win on Thursday night?

Dallas Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Prediction

Kyrie Irving has been on fire from three this postseason, but it’s really been his defense that’s benefitted Dallas the most. He’s been forcing turnovers and leading by example on the defensive end of the floor. Although the Mavs defense was nothing to write home about in Game 1 of this series, I’m expecting them to bounce back in Game 2.

The Thunder showed great poise in the first game of this series, winning the fourth quarter by double digits. Dallas only scored 16 points in the last quarter of that game, an embarrassing performance. Bet on the Mavs to bounce back after an embarrassing Game 1 against the young Thunder. I like Dallas’ veterans to step up in Game 2 of the series like they did against the Clippers last series. Doncic and Irving have been too dominant to drop back to back games, even on the road.

OKC covered with ease the other night. The public is all over the Thunder, with more than 60% of bets and handle on the moneyline and spread. Fade the public and back the veteran Mavs led by Jason Kidd to not only cover on Thursday, but win outright as well. Dallas has already shown they can win games on the road this postseason.
