Nuggets vs. Raptors Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds

The Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets will square off on Monday night as part of the sports equinox. Can Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets end their losing streak and pick up a crucial road victory in Canada? Peter Alexis previews this NBA tilt and gives a pick against the spread for Nuggets vs. Raptors.

Nuggets vs. Raptors Prediction, Pick Against the Spread, Latest Odds

The Denver Nuggets will head on the road to Canada to try and find their first win of the season against the Toronto Raptors.

Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets have struggled so far this year, turning in an 0-2 record after home losses to the Thunder and Clippers. They struggled from the field in both games, and Jokic hasn't received much help from his supporting cast so far.

Meanwhile, the Raptors are 1-2 with two ugly losses. They are missing RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, two of their top stars acquired from the Knicks last year. Can they find a way to upset the Nuggets without that production? Let's take a look at the latest Nuggets vs. Raptors odds.

Denver Nuggets vs. Toronto Raptors Prediction

The Denver Nuggets have come up short against two of the best teams in the Western Conference, dropping the opener to the OKC Thunder, and following that up with a close loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. Both losses came at home which isn't great, but still respectable opponents. They will now look to avenge those with a game against a very weak Eastern Conference side.

The Raptors have been blown away in two of their three games, starting the season off with a 30-point beatdown at the hands of the Cavaliers. They also lost to Anthony Edwards and the T-Wolves by 11. Their only win came against the injured Sixers, who are missing Joel Embiid and Paul George. Beating a shell of the Philadelphia lineup doesn't earn any real credibility.

This line opened at -7.5, and has continued to fly all the way to -9 for the Nuggets. To see a road team getting that kind of action is very telling. The Nuggets are not going to start 0-3 as long as Nikola Jokic is on the court, even if they are on the road. We don't typically love to take road favorites, but in this early season spot, the Nuggets will get right against one of the weakest teams in the league. Big money bettors agree, and they have been moving the spread all day. With 66% of the total bets on the Nuggets spread, they are collecting a whopping 91% of the money. The Raptors are 1-2 with two double-digit losses, and will likely succumb to another blowout tonight as they suit up short-handed against Denver.
