Pacers vs. Knicks Game 2 DFS Lineup
Captain: Karl-Anthony Towns ($14,700)
If you’re struggling to work with Brunson’s salary, we have a bit of salary relief with Towns. He thrived in Game 1 with 60 DraftKings points through 35 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block, going 11 of 17 from the field and 9 of 11 from the line. His regular season performances against the Pacers were strong as well. This is simply a good matchup for him and it helps that we aren’t seeing any salary increase. A repeat performance is very realistic.
Pacers vs. Knicks DFS Utility Options
Jalen Brunson ($10,600)
Jalen Brunson underperformed a bit for his price, scoring 48.8 DraftKings points through 43 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists and an unfortunate 7 turnovers. We should expect a bounce back performance for Brunson. While he scored well over his season average, he was below average on rebounds, assists and significantly over his season average on turnovers, which is 2.6.
The Pacers adjusted defensively after a hot start from Brunson, and the adjustments clearly worked, getting Brunson out of his typical flow. The Knicks have to figure out a workaround for the increased pressure on Brunson, and if they can do that, Brunson should have a stronger performance. Brunson is a solid captain option as well.
Tyrese Haliburton ($10,200)
Haliburton should be coming into Game 2 with incredible confidence after delivering a clutch performance and, dare I say, iconic ode to Reggie Miller. Haliburton had 31 points, and was 12-23 from the field, 4-12 from three, with 4 rebounds and 11 assists. He’s off to a hot start in this series, but was inconsistent in the Cleveland series.
Myles Turner ($7,600)
Turner’s fantasy production has been a bit underwhelming over the past two games, but that has allowed for a slight dip in pricing. This feels like a good spot for an uptick in production, particularly in points. Rebounds are tough against the Knicks’ bigs, but Turner could find production form beyond the arc. He was one of four with threes in Game 1.
Obi Toppin ($4,200)
Toppin saw a significant increase in rounds, with 10 in Game 1. As the Pacers try to compete with the Knicks' bigs, we could continue to see this increase in production on the board. We’ve got a slight increase in pricing, but Toppin remains a solid value play.
Mitchell Robinson ($4,000)
Robinson’s Game 1 was fine, but there’s a higher ceiling we could see given the matchup. Robinson had 17.5 DraftKings points, I’d expect similar production or a slight increase.
Miles McBride ($2,600)
McBride’s production and minutes have increased over the past several games. If the Pacers continue to focus on shutting down Brunson, McBride could benefit, particularly if he increases his production as a facilitator.
Potential Fade: Aaron Nesmith ($6,600)
Aaron Nesmith was on fire, going 8-9 from beyond the arc, scoring 30 points. We are seeing a bit of an increase in his price compared to Game 1, but it’s not dramatic enough to panic Nesmith. However, IF you do want to fade a particularly chalky pick, Nesmith would be the one.
