Marquette vs. Providence Prediction
Marquette comes into tonight's matchup with a 9-2 record led by their guards, Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones. Kolek and Jones led Marquette to become Big East champions last year while they look to repeat that again this year. As of right now, the Golden Eagles do not look like they are slowing down anytime soon. Their only two losses have come from No. 1 Purdue, and a tough Wisconsin team that they had to face in Madison, WI. With that being said, let's look into the Friars.
Providence brought in Kim English to coach this Providence team from George Mason this year to replace Ed Cooley who is now the coach at Georgetown. This Friar team is 9-2 with their two losses to Kansas State and No. 7 Oklahoma.
The Friars are led by leading scorer Bryce Hopkins who averages 17.2 PPG and I expect him to have a monster game. I love the way that he matches up against this Marquette team. Don't be surprised if you see Hopkins drop 20+ points tonight. With that being said, Josh Oduro could have a big presence in this game down in the paint. I expect him to have a big impact on this game as well.
