One of the best matchups on the college basketball slate tonight is a Pac-12 conference matchup between the Colorado Buffaloes and Oregon Ducks. The Buffaloes enter this game with a 12-5 record and a 3–3 record in conference play to open the season. Oregon, on the other hand, has opened up at a perfect record of 5–0 in conference play to bring their overall season record to 13–3. The Ducks hit the road tonight and head to Boulder to play Colorado in their home stadium at the CU Events Center. The Buffaloes are six-point favorites in this matchup to take care of the Ducks and ruin their perfect conference record. Can they do it?

Oregon vs. Colorado Prediction
Colorado is looking to build off an average season last year. Colorado has missed the NCAA tournament for the last two years now and will look to change that this year with a very strong and well-balanced squad. Although Nique Clifford left for Colorado State, Colorado is returning a lot of their production from last season, and also added Eddie Lampkin from TCU in the off-season. They also have a talented freshman in Cody Williams, who has dealt with an injury early this season, but came back two games ago against Cal. Tristan da Silva also missed a little bit of time near the end of December but came back against Arizona State three games ago, so the buffaloes are fully healthy once again.
After a strong 11–2 start to the season for Colorado, they hit a rocky start in Pac-12 play after dropping three straight to Arizona, Arizona State, and Cal. All three of the games were on the road, however, and they have played much better at home this season, where they have yet to lose a game. All three of their conference games at home have been wins over Washington, Washington State, and USC.
Oregon is off to a scorching hot start this season, entering this game perfect in Pac-12 play so far with wins over USC, UCLA, Washington, Washington, state, and Cal. Oregon also missed the NCAA tournament last year and is looking to get back for the first time since 2021, much like Colorado. They have the pieces to do so, as they brought in talented freshmen Kwame Evans and Jackson Shelstad. Shelstad has quickly taken over this team, leading the Ducks with 14.6 points per game as a true freshman. This Oregon team looks well-balanced, but they may be in for a tough game tonight in Colorado. Colorado has a lot of size on this team, as they rank 14th in average height amongst all D1 teams. Eddie Lamkin and Tristan da Silva will be holding down the paint against a very undersized Oregon team. Oregon is not a team with a lot of size, and their center is a 6‘9“ freshman, who I previously mentioned, Kwame Evans, and he will have to match up against the much larger Eddie Lampkin. For Oregon to stay in this game, I think they will have to make a lot of threes, which they can do, but banking on a college team to make a bunch of threes on the road is not a good path to winning as underdogs. I think Colorado will force Oregon into a lot of tough shots, and Colorado is a very good shooting team themselves, ranking 19th in the nation in effective field goal percentage. Their offense, combined with the size to shut down Oregon, should help Colorado get off to a hot start in this game and gain some momentum in the Pac-12 after a rocky start on the road. Colorado has been a much better team at home, and Oregon is due for a loss.
