On Friday night, the Saint Louis Billikens head to Richmond to face off against one of the better teams in the A10, the VCU Rams. Both of these teams haven’t quite lived up to their preseason expectations, but this matchup presents a great opportunity to target the total. Here’s my favorite play in this game…

Saint Louis vs. VCU Prediction
I was a little surprised to see the spread in this game open up this large. It’s not like VCU has played great to start the season. They have looked much better at home, at least offensively. Tonight, they have an opportunity to keep up their high-scoring production against one of the worst defenses in the A10.
Saint Louis is currently 8-9, but they have looked much better in their last couple of games. They kept up with the high-tempo Hawks of St. Joes, putting up 85 points in a nail-biting loss. This team might not be able to guard a parked car, but their offense is at least heating up down the stretch.
The last time these two teams played at VCU, there was almost a combined 170 points scored. I’m willing to bet we see a similar game play out tonight; this total is simply too low. Let’s buy-low on the Billikens offense against an unusually-poor VCU defense. This isn’t your typical elite A10 defense you’re used to seeing with the Rams.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this game soars over by 20+ points. Saint Louis can hang around in this game. VCU has been giving up a ton of three point attempts recently, their opponents just haven’t been able to knock them down. The Billikens look good on offense right now, don’t be surprised if their offense keeps them in this game until the very end. Bet the over in this A10 matchup; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
