Wisconsin has beaten Minnesota six times in a row, dating back to 2020. They have dominated the Golden Gophers whether they are playing at home or on the road in Minnesota. Tonight, Minnesota changes the narrative. Wisconsin has a home matchup with Michigan State on Saturday; if they look too far ahead, Minnesota could easily catch the Badgers sleeping tonight.
Dawson Garcia has been heating up for Minnesota. The 6’11” junior is the heart and soul of this team; they go where he goes. The Minnesota-grown forward has been itching to beat Wisconsin, and tonight he will get that opportunity. Crowl and Wahl are great offensive pieces for Wisconsin, but Garcia has the size and physically to dominate the Badgers in the paint.
This Minnesota team matches up great with Wisconsin, which is probably why we’re seeing such a short spread for the red-hot Badgers. Minnesota’s combo of Garcia and Ola-Joseph will cause problems for Wisconsin’s frontcourt. Mike Mitchell Jr. and Cam Christie will be able to keep up with AJ Storr on both sides of the ball. Minnesota has all the tools to hand Wisconsin their fourth road-loss of the season.
