Mount St. Mary's vs. Quinnipiac Prediction
Quinnipiac is one of the hottest mid-majors in the country right now. They are 14-4 on the season, 6-1 in the MAAC standings and are currently on a five game win streak. Will the Bobcats ever lose again?
I don’t know if they lose outright tonight, but I’m willing to bet Mount St. Mary’s keeps this game within the number. The Mount has struggled recently, and with Quinnipiac heading to Fairfield to take on one of the best teams in the MAAC this weekend, this is a massive letdown spot for the Bobcats.
The Mount was starting to play better in conference play, but a 12-18 3-PT shooting performance from Niagara cost them a win in their last game. That won’t be something the Mount has to worry about tonight, as Quinnipiac is one of the worst shooting teams in the country. They rank 214th in the country in 3-PT shooting percentage.
The Bobcats score a lot of their points on the interior, but the Mount’s interior defense is solid. This is a defensive-minded Mount team that will be looking to make a statement, showing their new conference that their recent loss to Niagara was an anomaly.
