Would you look at that… there’s another unranked home favorite against a ranked team tonight. Let me take you down to College Station, where the Aggies will be looking to end their four-game skid at home.

South Carolina vs. Texas A&M Prediction
I still believe in this Aggies team. They have far too much talent in their backcourt with Tyrece Radford and Wade Taylor to not be taken seriously, not to mention Henry Coleman in the paint. These veterans have been struggling of late to say the least, but they’ve got a matchup tonight against one of the most fraudulent teams in the SEC.
Don’t get me wrong, B.J. Mack and Meechie Johnson can take over a game at any moment with matching 20 pieces, but lately the latter hasn’t looked as sharp. Meechie is coming off a 5 point game, shooting 1-11 against Ole Miss. The game before that he didn’t even score in a loss to LSU. The early season magic from the Gamecocks is starting to wear off…
There’s no doubt in my mind that Tyrese Radford is one of the best defending guards in college basketball. At this point we’ve seen him play well over 100 collegiate games, and the veteran just keeps on getting better. Him and Wade Taylor, one of the best scorers in the SEC, haven’t been their typical selves during this four game skid, but a matchup against a team that struggles to rebound the ball could be just what the Aggies need.
Texas A&M is one of the best rebounding teams in the country. Everyone on their team can rebound, and Buzz Williams has his guys attacking the basketball at all times. Sure, B.J. Mack will get his from time to time, but overall this South Carolina team struggles to rebound from top to bottom. The Aggies will have plenty of opportunities for second chance points.
There’s a reason the Aggies have moved from 3.5 point favorites to nearly 6 point favorites on some books. Even on a four-game losing streak, oddsmakers are respecting Buzz Williams’ squad. The public isn’t, with nearly 70% of the bets currently backing the Gamecocks to cover this spread. As the money continues to pour in (on VSIN), the spread continues to move towards the Aggies.
This reverse line movement, especially against a ranked opponent, is significant in my eyes. Fade the ranked Gamecocks and back Tyrece Radford and the Aggies at home. Their losing streak ends tonight in a big way.
