The Maryland Terrapins take on the Rutgers Scarlett Knights in round 1 of the Big Ten Tournament tonight at 6:30 pm. What a season it’s been for me and the Terps. They keep burning me but I keep going back. Surely I’ve learned my lesson at this point right? Wrong.

Rutgers vs. Maryland Prediction
Unlike Rutgers, the Terps had actual expectations going into this season. They returned the majority of their rotation, brought in two top 100 freshman, and had head coach Kevin Willard returning for his second season. Surely they’ve been good then, right? Nope.
Despite all that, this season has been an embarrassment for Maryland, who are 15-16 overall and an abysmal 7-13 in the Big Ten. Rumors of players like Julian Reese entering the portal are swirling, and Willard is feeling the heat.
So why take a team who’s totally checked out and 1-5 in their last six games? Cause why not. Rutgers has been equally as trash as the Terps. They have the same record, both overall and in conference, as Maryland. I’m putting my faith in Big Ten second-team guard Jahmir Young, the only respectable player on this entire Terps roster. This might be his last collegiate game ever, and I know he’s not going down without a fight. Also it’s Rutgers, like come on. If they can’t beat Rutgers tonight, I want every Maryland fan to apologize to Marc Turgeon.
