The second game I want to dive into for the opening day takes us to another pick 'em - I gotta be honest with you guys, I absolutely love some of these lines we are getting. I did all of my tournament research without any idea whatsoever what the odds were initially. Now let's be real, I respect oddsmakers and think they play a factor in my decisions, but not all of them. I have found flaws before, and while I am not saying this line is flawed whatsoever, I love when the line is set somewhere you are willing to pounce on it.

Nevada vs. Dayton Prediction
With that said, we are going to Salt Lake City for this one as the Nevada Wolfpack (26-7) clash with the Dayton Flyers (24-7) at the Delta Center, in a game that should be great. Nevada is playing its best ball of the season right now, having won 10 of their last 11 games, and this squad is senior heavy which is always a strength in the tournament. They are a very well-rounded unit, ranking in the top half of the country on both sides of the court, they do not turn the ball over much, and force turnovers of their own.
They did not do well in their conference tournament, so I like Steve Alford's veteran guys to step up with a shot at redemption here in this opening round. Dayton is very talented but has not been playing their best ball as of late - I think the momentum here lies with the Wolfpack.
