Florida vs. Houston Player Prop Picks: Will Alijah Martin, Emanuel Sharp Struggle in National Championship?
The Florida Gators will take on the Houston Cougars in tonight's National Championship game.
The Houston Cougars just defeated the No. 1 team in the nation to advance to the NCAA Tournament's Final. In that game, the Cougars held Duke to just nine points in the final ten minutes of regulation. Ultimately, the Cougars have the No. 1-rated defense via KenPom. They're resilient.
That said, the Gators also earned a second-half comeback win in their Final Four game against the Auburn Tigers. The comeback wasn't as dramatic, but the Gators outscored the Tigers 41-27 in the second half to prevail.
No matter what happens in the first half of tonight's game, neither team is even remotely out of it.

J'Wan Roberts has scored no more than 11 points in three consecutive games for the Houston Cougars. He's attempted 8.7 shots per game over the last ten games. However, he's also hit below 43% from the field in that span. Additionally, he's shot 40% or worse in two of his last three games.
Meanwhile, he'll take on a Florida defense that ranks 144th in points allowed to forwards this season. The Gators have also limited forwards to 37.2% from the field. Let's back Roberts to go under 11.5 Points.

Alijah Martin had earned at least seven rebounds in back-to-back games against Maryland and Texas Tech. However, he only added three against Auburn, which is more around his average. After all, Martin has accumulated at least five rebounds in only 51% of games. Yet, he's added at least five rebounds in just eight of his last 20 games.
Additionally, he'll face a Houston defense that ranks 7th in the nation in rebounds allowed to guards this season. Martin has only earned 2.8 defensive rebounds per game over the last ten games, but he's added 1.4 offensive rebounds per game in that span.
However, Houston is way above average in both defensive and offensive rebounds and likely won't give Martin many easy chances on the glass.

The Houston Cougars have a bunch of really great three-point shooters. While the offense plays slow and in the halfcourt, Houston is one of the best teams from three-point range in terms of percentage.
That said, the Florida Gators have limited guards to 24.5% from downtown this season. Guards have averaged just 1.8 threes per game against Florida this season.
Sharp has made some big buckets, but it's hard to imagine Houston's guards, including Sharp, finding a ton of success from downtown tonight.
